Romantic and intimate... Well, it's not as if most are itching to be stabbed, but of all the weapons, daggers would be intimate, I think. A little sexy.
I've used knives, and I recently was given a "mini gun" as a reward. It has a one bullet chamber, but it might be useful for self defense, you know? I carry it with me, along with something small and sharp, in case I need my blood.
It makes sense, doesn't it? You have to be up close to use it. Enough so that you can see into their eyes and watch the light die. They can also see you, and how their final expression will last in their memory.

I guess it would be weird to other people. Anakt had a lot of medical stuff along with everything else. So it wasn't weird to know generally what another person's vitals and statistics were.
Since we've been together so much, I think I did it without thinking and started taking note of things like temperature and heart rate.
I don't think I'm that good. Truly, the aliens did most of the heavy lifting. I just remember lessons and some other things.

Ah, I suppose it makes sense that you noticed that. I handle extreme temperatures poorly in either direction. And even when it's not as hot out as on that boat, I have to be careful in hot tubs in general.
